We are pleased to share the recap from our January Women’s Forum virtual program. We’re grateful to our colleagues, Mike Rarey, CFA, Chief Investment Office, and Neil Davies, CPWA®, Director of Private Wealth, for reviewing the drivers of 2024 market performance and offering CAP STRAT’s 2025 outlook for the markets and US economy, especially with some of the anticipated policy shifts from a new administration in Washington.

OUR SPEAKERS

Mike Rarey, Chief Investment Officer, oversees the firm’s investment research and portfolio management and co-heads the CAP STRAT Investment Committee. He also designs and oversees the firm’s asset allocation analysis, tactical investment framework, risk tolerance assessments, investment strategies, and economic consulting. Mike is passionate about building a deep understanding of economic and financial market trends and drivers.

Mike manages the firm’s Institutional MAS services, working directly with clients on the oversight of their endowments, foundations, reserves, and operating accounts. He led the development of CAP STRAT’s investment framework, which informs all strategic and tactical allocations within Private Wealth and institutional portfolios. He has diverse experiences meeting with institutional clients and leading conversations to help clients and their boards effectively manage and oversee various pools of assets.

Mike is a CFA Charterholder and a member of the CFA Society of Chicago. He graduated from Indiana University, Kelley School of Business with Honors and a B.S. in Finance and Accounting.

Neil Davies, Principal, is a Certified Private Wealth Advisor® (CPWA®) and Director of Private Wealth.. Neil leads the firm’s private wealth practice and maintains the Certified Private Wealth Advisor® (CPWA®) designation. Since 2004, he has been advising individual clients on various Topics related to wealth management including investment advisory, retirement, tax and estate planning.

Neil also supports our institutional clients by working with executives on their personal wealth strategies and conducting one-on-one and group educational meetings primarily for pre-retirees. Neil builds partnerships with our private clients with a strong focus on helping them articulate their goals and achieve financial security. Neil focuses on wealth preservation, identifying tax-efficient strategies, and structuring low-cost portfolio solutions. He takes a collaborative, planning-based approach to client service and partners with legal and tax advisors to ensure the integration of a holistic wealth management strategy.

Neil is a graduate of Illinois State University and holds a BS in Finance.
